Joe Englander has been
photographing, publishing, and exhibiting for over
35 years. Working in all formats from 35mm to 8x10
since 1980, he has been producing color and black-and-white
photography for commercial and artistic projects.
His commercial work has been used nationally and internationally.
Joe has been teaching photographic workshops since
1981. He is widely published through national magazinesincluding
Photomethods, Darkroom Photography, Camera Arts,
Camera & Darkroom, American Photographer, View-Camera,
Outdoor Photography, Outdoor & Travel Photography,
AG+, The British Journal of Photographyannual
reports, and books, including They Ride the Rodeo,
published by Macmillan and featured on CBS. He has
been a contributing editor to Camera & Darkroom
and View Camera magazines.
Englander's works are in a growing number of private
collections across the country. His photographs are
in numerous permanent collections, including those
of Yale University Art Gallery, Lakeview Museum of
Art, The Duke University Museum of Art, Tucson Museum
of Art, Carnegie Institute Museum of Art, Rice University
Sewall Art Gallery, The Denver Art Museum, The Art
Museum and Galleries of California State University,
and the Chicago Center for Contemporary Photography.
Commercial clients include Timberland Boots, Southwest
Airlines, American Airlines, Motorola, Advanced Micro
Devices, IBM, MCC, SEMATECH, the Texas Bar Association,
The Office of the Governor of Texas, various law firms
and financial institutions. |
